Brain Awareness Week (BAW)

Brain Awareness Week is a public information campaign created in 1996 by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives. The ongoing program has created a link between scientists of the Society for Neuroscience, the Dana Alliance, health organizations, and the the general population. During this week, Sidwell Friends 21st Century Biology students visit elementary and middle schools and introduce basic concepts of neurobiology to students in a manner that is both simple and interactive.  To learn the dates of this year's Brain Awareness Week, visit the Society for Neuroscience and Dana Alliance BAW pages.
