Sidwell Summer has been committed to providing the best in summer experiences for over 65 years. It is our mission to provide a fun, yet enriching, array of programs for campers and students while providing a safe and nurturing environment for your child. We strive to provide traditional camp fun with cutting edge programs and workshops. For academic classes, we apply the same standards for which Sidwell is known.
The variety of day programs offered by Sidwell Summer allows each family to tailor their summer experience based on their own needs and interests. Join us for a week or for ten! Choose your favorite activities or try something new each week.
Our day programs are held on either of Sidwell Friends School’s campuses:
- The Lower School campus in Bethesda, Maryland hosts our Bethesda Day Camp, our traditional day camp program for children ages 3 ½ through grade 5 offers 3 two-week sessions.
- The Middle and Upper School campus located on Wisconsin Avenue in Washington, D.C. hosts our Explorer Programs, Sports Programs, and Summer Studies. The academic courses run for four to six-weeks while most other programs are selected by the week.
Both campuses feature playgrounds, fields, and gyms plus an assortment of classrooms and each are accessible by metro.
