Junior Explorers

Junior Explorer Teacher (5 and 6 year olds)– Seeking highly motivated, energetic, creative and organized teacher to work with our Junior Explorer 5-6 year olds. Experience working with children in this age group in camp, school or other setting preferred. Lead daily activities and engage campers in a variety of activities.

Explore-Star

Ceramics and Camp Crafts Teacher – Seeking highly motivated and creative adult (21 years or older) to take our students on a journey through clay, paint, gimp, and more! Our Ceramics and Camp Crafts Teacher will design lesson plans for campers entering grades 6th -8th in the area of the arts. Teacher must have a basic/intermediate level of ceramics. ½ day Photography Teacher – Seeking highly motivated and creative adult (21 years or older) to teach one workshop to campers entering 6th-8th grade about photography. Counselors - Seeking highly motivated college counselors (or older) to assist lead teachers and directors in lessons, activities, games and more! We are looking for driven, creative individuals who share our passion for working with children a camp setting. Counselor will work closely with sports workshops. *Please note – The ½ day photography teacher and the ½ day filmmaking teacher positions can be combined into a full day position if applicant meets hiring criteria for both positions and desires to work full time.

Camp 'til Six

Junior Camp ‘Til Six Staff – Seeking highly motivated, energetic, creative and organized staff to work with Sidwell Summer’s after camp program for campers Age 3 – Grade 1. Experience working with children in this age group in camp, school or other setting preferred. Assist leading daily activities and engaging campers participating in aftercare program. Must be available June 17 – August 2. Option to begin work June 10 and option to work later into August). Hours 2:30 pm – 6:15 pm, Monday- Friday. Mandatory Orientation for all staff June 5, 6: 30 pm – 9:30 pm.

Program dates June 10 – August 23. Minimum employment for 6 consecutive weeks during date range listed. Hours 2:30 pm – 6:15 pm, Monday- Friday. Mandatory Orientation for all staff June 5, 6: 30 pm – 9:30 pm.

Voyagers

Voyagers (Counselor) – Seeking highly motivated, energetic and self-directed college-aged camp counselor to work with Voyager field trip program for campers Grades 2- 8. Experience working with children in this age group in camp, school or other setting preferred. Should have interest in assisting trip chaperone in leading off-campus trips; engaging campers throughout the camp day in field trip activities as well as games and songs; upholding all safety procedures and protocols daily; and having fun with campers. Seeking counselor for June 17- June 21 and August 5 - August 23. Minimum employment for 7 consecutive weeks during date range listed. Hours 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday- Friday. Mandatory Orientation for all staff Saturday, June 8.

Community Service

Communtiy Service (Counselor) Seeking highly motivated and energetic college-aged camp counselor to work with Community Service program for campers Grades 6- 8. Interest, understanding and experience with community service project a plus. Experience working with children in this age group in camp, school or other setting preferred. Should have interest in the following: assisting community service leader in leading off-campus trips; engaging campers throughout the camp day in service activities; participating in daily service activities and participating in daily debriefings with group; upholding all safety procedures and protocols daily; and having fun with campers. Program dates July 8 – August 2. Hours 8:30 am – 3:00 pm, Monday- Friday. Mandatory Orientation Saturday, June 8.

Kaleidoscope

Kaleidoscope Sewing Teacher- seeking highly motivated adult (21 years+) with experience teaching sewing to kids. Teacher will creatively design lessons to promote rich learning experiences that encourage children to be creative through various needle-arts activities. Camp 'til Six

Camp 'til Six Director- Seeking highly motivated, energetic, creative and organized individual to direct the Bethesda Camp After camp program for campers Grades PK-5. Individual is responsible for ensuring safety of participants and quality of the program by over-seeing Camp 'til Six staff, maintaining attendance lists, snack, supplies, and leading daily activities. Spanish Travelers

Spanish Travelers Teacher- Seeking highly organized and enthusiastic Spanish language instructor to lead students grades PK-4 in Spanish language and culture lessons. KISS

KISS Teacher- Seeking highly organized and enthusiastic teachers to lead a classroom of students in math and language arts lessons. KISS Counselor- Seeking highly motived high school and college age students to assist with the KISS program. Counselors assist KISS Teachers in all aspects of the camp day from instructional periods, snack and lunch supervision, and carpool.
