Giving Thanks

Each person at the dinner says what they are thankful for this year. 

The first person was thankful for one thing. 

The second person was thankful for two things. 

The third person was thankful for 4 things

and the fourth person was thankful for 8 things! 

Ms. Adelfio said she noticed a pattern (she always sees patterns!)If the pattern continues in this way, how many things would the tenth person at the dinner table have been thankful for?
