National Museum of the American Indian at the Smithsonian - this museum is just getting underway. Two of the people who are involved with the beginnings of this museum are School parents who may be able to share resources with us before the museum opens.

The National Portrait Gallery has a collection of Native American portraits. This website is a great resource, as it displays their collection. Docents will prepare a tour with a specific focus if contacted ahead of time. Unfortunately, this museum will be closed for renovations in the coming year.
