Famous for their gift-wrap and chocolates, the committee members help
distribute the catalogs, accept orders, publicize the sale, distribute
the purchases and input the financial data of money received.
The School makes 50¢ of every $1 sold, and the most intense
activity of the process for the committee is from mid-September to mid-October.

One of the most fun events of the School year, this is
a wonderful sale in the Wannan Gym during Homecoming weekend of
quality used items. Volunteers are most heavily needed in the
two weeks prior to the sale as well as the hours of the sale.
This includes pricing the items, organizing them into categories,
moving them from the containers to the gym, acting as cashiers,
publicity and clean-up. This event is a great way to meet
other parents.

American Idol comes to the SFS stage!
Okay, not really, but...this event welcomes alumni who are
professionals in the performing arts back to the Kogod Arts
Center stage for an exciting and unique evening of
entertainment. Help is needed with organizing food for the
performers and the post-show reception for our guests,
publicity, acknowledging those who?ve paid for tickets, ticket
sales the night of the event, organizing student cashiers for
memorabilia sales on the night of the event, researching
potential alumni performers, and helping the Co-Chairs behind
the scenes. .

These two separate events need all the help possible in and
out of the office. As a result, they are among the
most rewarding of our events. Help is needed with
soliciting for donations, entering auction items into the
computers, organizing the auction items in the office,
catalog writing and design, publicity, ticket sales, acknowledgements,
sales processing, coordinating volunteers, decorations and clean-up.

This you can do from home or office. Help is
needed with soliciting for advertisers and underwriters
for our events, identifying prospects, getting the word
out in the community that this is an available option for
all to participate and following up with those who?ve
made pledges.

A new event to be added to the Dollars for Scholars roster,
we anticipate the golf tournament will energize a whole new
group of individuals within our community. Help is needed
in the planning stages of the event during the months before
June as well as at the tournament. Roles would include
help with entering player information into the database,
securing gift items and awards for our participants, set-up
on the day of, and driving the beverage cart during the
tournament, among other roles.
